Paris Hilton Could Face Bonafide Jail Time For Being Stupid
Most advanced primates would understand what it means when a judge tells them they’re not allowed to drive for a while. Not Paris Hilton. The heiress could now be facing up to 90 days in jail for violating her probation, stemming from a September DUI arrest. Hilton is pleading ignorance on the violation, claiming she didn’t know her license was suspended. The sad thing is that it’s not a stretch of the imagination to believe that Paris could have missed the point of that whole court thingy.
As you may recall, Hilton was busted for drunk driving back in September, then sentenced to 36 months of probation at her hearing in January. She was pulled over again on Sunset Boulevard on February 27, for driving at night with no headlights. The police ran her plates, discovered her suspended license, and here we are.
While the 26-year-old Simple Life star will have her late daddy’s best lawyers fighting to keep her out of jail, a Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office spokesman has this to say:
We are confident that we have sufficient evidence to prove that her license was suspended and that she had knowledge of it at the time.
Most of us working class stiffs dream of having Paris Hilton’s kind of money, but perhaps we’re better off without it. If there’s indeed a greater power in this universe, it must be having some fun at Paris’s expense. Because, while she may have hit the financial jackpot in this life, she clearly got the leftovers in the brains department.
