Hulk Hogan Vc. Ric Flair In... Election Smackdown?

Just recently, Ric "The Nature Boy" Flair endorsed Mike Huckabee for president, so I sort of assumed all the pro wrestling league had been swayed by the Huckster's earliest celebrity backer, Chuck Norris.

Wrong! Hulk Hogan came on the Jimmy Kimmel show and stepped into the endorsement ring! He's kicking some ass for Obama! Will Obama take the chair Hogan has offered and use it to fight dirty against the vast right-wing conspiracy? WE'LL FIND OUT ON TUESDAY, TUESDAY, TUESDAY!  (No word yet on an endorsement from The Great Khali, though).

That means the celebrity endorsement lineup (at least as far as I can tell) is now:

  • Barack Obama:  Hulk Hogan, Pete Wentz,  Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, Halle Berry, George Clooney, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Anniston, Scarlett Johanson, Zach Braff, Jessica Biel, Nick Cannon, Ne-Yo, Taye Diggs, Will.i.am, Warren Buffett, David Geffen, Matt Damon...
  • Hillary Clinton: Barbra Streisand, Maya Angelou, Magic Johnson, 50 Cent,  Martha Stewart, Jerry Springer, Jenna Jameson, and maybe Madonna
  • John McCain: Sylvester Stallone, Curt Schilling, Arnold Schwarzenegger
  • Mike Huckabee: Chuck Norris, Ted Nugent, Ric Flair
  • Ron Paul: John Mayer
  • Mitt Romney: Donnie Osmond, Marie Osmond, Pat Boone

In other words, if famous people's beliefs are any guide to how the rest of us behave, Obama is a lock for the White House.

Sadly, they have demonstrated time and time again that they aren't... but maybe he will win just by coincidence!

This news is outdated. Hogan just stated on “The View” that the Obama endorsement was a mistake and that he changed his mind. On McCain Hogan stated, “MCCAIN, WHEN I SEE HIM SERVING HIS COUNTRY WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER, I MEAN, EVERYBODY HAS STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND IT’S A VERY CRUCIAL TIME FOR CHANGE.”
