Save-Our-Show Campaigns Officially Jump The Shark
Damn you, "Jericho!" If it wasn't for the semi-success fans had in temporarily resurrecting the post-apocalyptic show, we wouldn't be up to our eyeballs in SOS campaigns that bordered on - or toppled right into - the ridiculous. With the latest campaign we've achieved a hitherto unimaginable level of silly. Yes, that's right; fans are beginning a campaign for a show that hasn't even aired yet.
Pre-fans of "Dollhouse," Joss Whedon's latest endeavour, have already begun organizing for what they imagine to be an inevitable cancellation. They've got a Facebook page, forums and a mission, to save their show from cancellation before it even hits the airwaves. They're basing their premature cancellation fears on, among other things, the quick hook given Whedon's "Firefly." But hey, "Buffy" got all the time it need, right? ("Buffy" short-timer Eliza Dushku, left, will star in "Dollhouse.")
Guys. Seriously, guys. There are so many things wrong with this, it's impossible to figure out which is the worst part. Let's start with this, though: How can you be fans of a show you've never seen? I'm the biggest Joss Whedon geek around these parts, and I'm looking forward to seeing the show, but you cannot be fans of something if you don't know it's good. Is it too much to ask that you wait for the premiere to freak out? I know we all got burned by "Firefly," but you guys have seriously gone round the bend.

"you cannot be fans of something if you don't know it's good"
We *do* know it's good, though. Hello? It's made by Joss Whedon.
