Seriously, When Should A Show Be Canceled?

Accordingtojim After yesterday's discussion of shows that were canceled too soon, Best Week Ever has been kind enough to supply us with a list of shows that weren't canceled soon enough. Unlike the SyFy portal list, I can't argue with any of these selections with the notable exception of "The Simpsons." Yes, I know it's been on for a billionty years, but there's still milk in that cow! Sure, it's had its weak episodes. Hell, it's had weak seasons, but you'll never take my "Simpsons" love away.

On the other hand, the depressing news that "According to Jim" is at 164 episodes and counting when "Arrested Development" was canceled after 53 is almost more than I can bear. Seriously, was Jim Belushi ever funny? Couldn't you just watch old episodes of "Home Improvement" with the volume turned up and get more or less the same effect?
