Very little going on in TV today - maybe it's just too hot - but here are a few things worth mentioning:

• The heinous Denise Richards reality show is marginally better than the Lohan family reality show. (Televisionista)
• New episodes of "The Shield" (right) premiere Sept. 2. (Buddy TV)
• The first really interesting bit of programming on Planet Green comes as a result of a tornado. ironic, no? (NYT)
• Another "Veronica Mars" alum joins "Heroes." (GMMR)
