Latest "90210" News: The Bitch Is Back?
Jennie Garth has a recurring role, and Jason Priestly will direct some episodes. Now there are reports that Shannen Doherty is considering an offer to become the latest "Beverly Hills 90210" alum to appear on CW's new "90210" remake/sequel/whatever it is. Ausiello says she'd even be playing her old character, Brenda Walsh, if they cough up enough dough. The problem of course is that, back in the day anyway, Doherty was renowned as not just difficult but unbearable. Her co-stars mostly disliked her to varying degrees; she even got into it physically with Garth. But there are several calming factors at hand, including the fact that they're all older now, and that this will be the highest-profile opportunity any of them have had in a good long while.
As for other former cast members, Luke Perry reportedly declined. Tori Spelling is in the pilot, but is busy with her reality show or something after that - "personal reasons." And Brian Austin Green is, as Kathy says, busy kicking robot ass on "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."
